JULIE BOUCHARD
Julie Bouchard, a native of Terrace Bay and a true Northern Ontario girl, has returned to her roots, eager to continue her career in promoting wellbeing. Growing up in Terrace Bay, she was passionate about all sports, participating in both competitive and recreational hockey, as well as various school sports, including long-distance running, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and swimming. Julie’s journey into instructing began during her years as a lifeguard.
After high school, she attended Conestoga College in Kitchener, ON, earning an honors diploma as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. For five years, she provided compassionate hearing healthcare to patients in Thunder Bay, ON. Although she loved her career, her desire to return home was stronger, leading her back to the area in 2023.
Since joining WELLNESS LAB in the summer of 2024, Julie has expanded her expertise in fitness and rehabilitation. Working closely with Dr. Myla, she has honed her skills in rehab-based movement, developing a strong foundation in helping clients improve mobility, strength, and function. She is passionate about guiding individuals toward better movement patterns and injury recovery, blending her knowledge with hands-on experience.
Julie is always on the move! You’ll often catch her in our TRX class or waitressing locally, and throughout the week, she’s leading Strength Circuit, Postural Rehab, Lower Body Rehab, Full Body Rehab and Cycle Rehab classes.
When she’s not at WELLNESS LAB, Julie loves to wander the breathtaking shores of Lake Superior, go fishing with her fiance, hit the trails for a good hike, experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, and enjoy cozy downtime with her cat.
